Plan 9 From Outer Space

AKA Grave Robbers From Outer Space. I’m not one who enjoys watching movies that are “so bad they are good.” A bad movie is pretty much a waste of my time. But I watched this a long time ago, when it was named “The Worst Movie Ever Made,” and having recently watched Tim Burton’s Ed Wood I decided to take a look again, to compare scenes from the original to the re-creations in the biopic. They are very close, Burton having lovingly built sets just as cheesy as the ones Wood used. As far as being the worst movie ever made, there are hundreds if not thousands of strong contenders. I would personally nominate Gerry, an amazingly tedious, indulgent, incoherent pile of monkey turds created by Gus Van Sant, along with stars Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. And don’t forget The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, & Her Lover. Horrible! Horrible!
