Men in Black II
I would say this is a reasonably entertaining sequel, though it has all the flaws that sequels usually have. There is simply no way to re-capture the delight you get when you see an original idea, like the original Men in Black. Illegal aliens! Real aliens! Aliens posing as humans: Sylvester Stallone, Steven Spielberg, Al Roker, Dionne Warwick, George Lucas, Danny Devito, and others. It’s just almost impossible to get a belly laugh like that again. And the aliens themselves, designed by Rick Baker, very little CGI involved. All delightful. And this film has its delights, but nothing new. you get rehashes of old jokes, like the size of the weapons Agent K and Agent J have. Like I said, it’s a perfectly watchable movie, but it has no surprises.
